School is the floor,
not the ceiling.

I have spent 12+ years building software with companies in Germany, Canada, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. Today I run my own business and lead teams of developers. With me, learning won’t stop at the curriculum. We’ll use it as a starting point to build a strong foundation, develop real programming skills, create practical projects, and prepare you to enter the job market early. During the summer, programming students will also take part in special activities, challenges, and projects designed to strengthen their skills and help them stay ahead of anyone who only studies for exams.

Beyond the curriculum

Most programming teaching stops where the exam stops. The syllabus gets covered, the marks get collected, and the student still cannot sit down in front of an empty file and build something.

With me, learning does not stop at the curriculum. We use it as a starting point. From there we build a strong foundation, develop real programming skills, create practical projects, and prepare you to enter the job market early.

I am able to teach it this way because I still do it. What I hire for is what I teach.

In this workshop you

  • Build a foundation strong enough that the next language is easy
  • Develop real programming skill, not memorised exam answers
  • Create practical projects you can open and show to somebody
  • Learn how working developers plan, review and ship
  • Get a head start on the work people are actually paid to do

Summer is when you get ahead

Over the summer we go further: extra activities, challenges and projects built to sharpen what you already know. It is the part of the year with room to go deep — and it is how you get ahead of anyone who only studies for the exam.

Two tracks

One for each year. Both run as online sessions, so it does not matter where in the country you are.

1st Secondary

For students starting 1st secondary who have never written a line of code, or who have only met programming through the school book.

We start from

  • We cover what your school year covers, properly — not as questions to memorise
  • Problem solving first, so the code has something to stand on
  • Writing, running and fixing programs you wrote yourself

Then we go past it

  • Programming as it is actually practised, not as it is examined
  • Building something from an empty file until it runs
  • The working habits I look for when I hire developers

You come out of it able to build a working program and explain how it works — not just answer questions about one.

2nd Secondary

For students in 2nd secondary who want to go past the exam and start building software that is genuinely theirs.

We start from

  • We cover what your school year covers, properly — not as questions to memorise
  • The reasoning behind the choices, so you can make them yourself
  • Reading and changing code you did not write

Then we go past it

  • Carrying one real project from an idea through to something that works
  • How professional teams plan, review and ship their work
  • What the route into paid development work actually looks like, and how to start on it early

You come out of it with a project you can show someone, and a clear picture of what the job really is.

Leave your name, a number I can reach you on, and the year you are in. That is the whole form — everything else we sort out when we speak.

  1. I get in touch on the number you leave.
  2. We talk through which track fits and what you want out of it.
  3. We agree the schedule and the fees before anything starts.
